This past weekend was Baystate, aka Sterling, and was muddy, cold and FUN. Huge thanks to everyone out there cheering, and to Kasper Larsen for hosting and pitting. Of course, the biggest thanks to Tom, the promoter and his staff as well as all the volunteers who made the race super fun and safe. I’m still recovering from the gnar, race report up soon….
Chris Lee, the nicest dude you know, took some excellent photos of Neil and Evan at Bubblecross a few weeks ago. He shoots pictures with a ‘real’ camera, but posted these to his Instagram. This was a great local event, and was Neil’s first race to the season. Evan got 4th, Neil 9th. More importantly, Neil got super rad.

It was a weekend marked by stomach flu, mechanicals, and the first truly cold weather of the season. Look for a full report tomorrow.
Much thanks to the Hudson Cyclocross team for their hosting and pitting, and to all the volunteers and staff at the race for making it run super smooth.
Tammy Bonn is a Boston-based photographer. She was one of the few to snap a picture of Evan grabbing his first podium, in 3rd, of his career. Marty Cross was a great event and NYC Velo p/b The Cannibal wants to thank all the volunteers, staff and officials that helped make it happen.
Dust + Sunscreen + Sweat.
Manual For Speed was at Gloucester, some of their photos were published here: http://www.competitivecyclist.com/explore/manual-for-speed-the-faces-of-gloucester
WE LOVE INSTAGRAM
click each photo for some rad people who captured some sweet photos. This past weekend’s hashtag was #pcfcx and there is a ton of awesome content that came out of it.
Matt Tyler posted a bunch of great shots from Baltimore’s Charm City Cross. Charm City is quickly becoming a must-go event for cx, and I, (Evan), had a decent weekend. Despite mechanicals both days, the legs were there and the course conditions were perfect both days; nice and tacky.
It was the first race weekend of the season, and there are always kinks to work out. For example: bringing water to the course. I must have mooched some off of Dan or Brendan, you can see above that I was using a cage—it was hot!
